Handmade Pop-Up Greeting Cards

Are you looking for a project to spice up your history or geography studies for your older students? Or, just creating a specialty greeting card for a friend or a family member? Let me suggest creating a fabulous and professional looking pop-up card that not only brightens someone else’s day but also adds creativity to your unit studies.

When my son was a little younger and a friend of mine kindly suggested adding him to her children’s history class, I was thrilled. She loves history and follows much of her teaching with fun projects. While studying medieval times in her course, each child was supposed to present her with their own construction of a medieval castle. My son settled on this fantastic pop-up card. Both my husband and I were so excited about the idea that we joined our school-aged son and made our own cards. We had SO MUCH FUN!

Now fast-forward a few short years and here I am spring-cleaning my office. Surprise! I have found a few pop-up card templates we somehow never had chance to utilize. Shortly afterwards, a couple of our young friends came over. While the boys were building bike trails, Vivian and I set off crafting. I pulled out the pop-up cards templates and look what she created! Needless to say, she had LOTS OF FUN!
