We are excited to announce our very first writing contest for kids!
This contest is open to all children ages 7 to 12 and offers a unique opportunity to showcase their writing skills and win prizes.
To participate, your child needs to write a short story based on a true event of someone they know personally. The story can be written in any format (e.g. narrative, poem, diary entry). The story must be original, imaginative and entertaining, and should include vivid descriptions of the setting, characters, and events.
How Can Your Children Participate in This Contest?
Following are the contest particulars:
Eligibility:
The children must fall into one of the following age categories:
- Category 1: Ages 7-8
- Category 2: Ages 9-10
- Category 3: Ages 11-12
Note: If your child does not fall into any of our categories but would still like to participate, please contact us at support@tools4schoolsathome.com.
Prizes:
The winner in each category will receive:
- Winner certificate with details of the contest.
- Wisdom and the Millers – Proverbs for Children, a character building collection of lively, inspirational stories. Each chapter of this book explains and illustrates a passage from the book of Proverbs, along with a story based on true life experiences.
Note: If the winner happens to reside in a country where Wisdom and the Millers is not available, they will be given up to $10 for a purchase of a book of their choice.
Dates:
- You may submit your stories any time before contest deadline of March 31, 2023.
- The overall winners will be announced on April 3, 2023.
How to Enter:
- Write the story on a computer or by hand. [Please write the name of the child, age, and parent’s contact information on the top of the first page.]
- Email the story to support@tools4schoolsathome.com for a chance to WIN A PRIZE.
How Will the Submissions Be Evaluated?
All submissions will be evaluated based on creativity, originality, and writing skills appropriate for the age category. A panel of judges will select the winners.
