It contains over 40 exercises that help kids learn to use scissors safely. Projects include lines, shapes, and fun pictures to be colored, cut out and pasted! It is also accompanied by FREE printable Scissor Skills Projects.

Why are scissor skills important?

There are many benefits for your children to practice their scissor skills in early age. For example:

  • It improves their fine motor skills by strengthening their little hand muscles.
  • It advances their eye-hand coordination.
  • It develops their bilateral coordination.
  • It encourages them to focus.

What will you discover in this Scissor Activity Book?

This workbook includes a variety of coloring, cutting and pasting activities that are divided into seven sections based on the difficulty:

  1. Cutting lines that lead to pictures of animals, children, and vehicles. Some lines are straight, some curved. The thick lines are easy to see and follow.
  2. Cutting pictures in straight lines and pasting them on a shaded area of the same shape. Even though all the lines in this section are straight, they are thinner and require more focus.
  3. Cutting and coloring shapes of different sizes and pasting them on top of each other, thus creating a piece of art. These activities  teach shapes and precision in pasting.
  4. Cutting out squares, circles and triangles and pasting them in specific areas in pictures. Again, more precise cutting and pasting is required.
  5. Coloring pictures with various scenes, cutting out objects and placing them in the scenes.
  6. Additional bonus: You can download an additional file with five color, cut and glue craft projects by emailing us at support@tools4schoolsathome.com with the date of purchasing Scissor Activity Book for 3-5 Year Olds.

  • Scissors must be used VERY carefully.
  • ALWAYS cut at the table.
  • DO NOT look away from your project while cutting.
  • NEVER run with scissors; slow walking is allowed only under supervision and with blades towards the floor.
