What will you discover in this book?

There are four types of activities available for each letter of the alphabet:

1. Letter play dough mats with pictures: These mats are aimed at children mastering the recognition of both small and capital letters. Following are a few ideas how to use them:

  • Have your child trace the letters with their fingers.
  • Have your child trace the letters with a dry erase marker.
  • Have your child build the letters with play dough.

It has been proven by education professionals that forming 3D letters from play dough during early years eliminates any possible letter reversals once the child reaches elementary school years.

2. Finding and coloring letters among other letters of the alphabet: This activity teaches your child to look specifically for one letter only and be able to identify it. It also encourages them to focus as they systematically scan the page.

3. Tracing both small and capital letters: These worksheets assist your child to advance their eye-hand coordination and improve their fine motor skills, which prepares them for serious writing skills.

4. Coloring pictures of animals whose names start with the particular letter: In addition to having fun coloring, these worksheets also provide children with additional letter tracing practice. These pages also serve as an excellent source of alphabet wall posters.
